Sea Ranch Bluff Home Remodel

Sea Ranch Bluff Home Remodel

We completed a comprehensive interior remodel of a bluff top Sea Ranch Home. With Gayle Forster on interior design, we made a complete transformation of this home. Perched right above Black Point Beach, the goal of this remodel was to harmonize the interior of the home with the natural surroundings. Sutton Freebairn-Smith supervised this project from beginning to end, and really put his heart and soul into the details.

The kitchen was completely gutted, and refitted with IKEA cabinets, Magellan Green Zodiac countertops, and clean stainless steel appliances. In the living room, we removed a large fireplace structure that was compartmentalizing the room, and installed new hardwood floors, a RAIS fireplace, deco sheetrock elements, and a floating buffet cabinet. We removed the solid sheetrock pony walls from the stairway, and installed a sleek new steel railing system; powder coated steel frame, with stainless steel cable. Interior doors and window covering were replaced throughout the home, making innovative use of off-the-shelf IKEA closet doors in the lower bedrooms. The entire home received fresh coats of paint as well, greatly brightening the interior, and the lighting was completely re-worked to make the home look spectacular at night.

The result of this remodel is a transformation from a compartmentalized and somewhat dark home into one that feels open, bright, and in tune with the bluff top surroundings. We are very pleased with the way this project turned out, and were excited to work with Gayle Forster again.
